banana bread was created during a time in which I wanted to reflect on the expression of platonic love. Splicing together correspondence from a close friend, I created a quasi-journal—reminiscent of a letter. One of the ways many of my friends, family, and I show our love is through cooking and sharing food. Somewhat unconsciously, banana bread has become the primary means through which I express this love. In an intimate, yet widely relatable manner, banana bread seeks to reflect on the warmth and comfort of a friend and unconditional love.
