Alisa Nascimento is a printmaker by study, explorer of various media by necessity.

Alisa Nascimento received her B.A. in printmaking from the University of Dallas in 2021. Though she has lived in several places throughout her life, she is now based in California. Her current body of work explores displacement, the search for identity amidst two different cultures, and, ultimately, the desire for home.

Drawn to books as a source of entertainment at a young age, Alisa utilizes art as a means of storytelling. She is passionate about sharing her Asian American experience with others, as well as using her art to voice the experiences of those she meets. Alisa is now diving into the world of book arts and letterpress at the San Francisco Center for the Book.
